About Ollie
Ollie joined SRG in October 2022 to lead the Group’s retail pillar, Specialist Risk Insurance Solutions (SRIS). His experience and background made him the perfect person to drive SRIS into the next stage of its growth journey.
Ollie enjoys the dynamic nanture of private equity backed companies and shares SRG’s value that a people-focused culture is the key to successful growth. He firmly believes that specialist is better than generalist and enjoys the challenge of building unique solutions and teams.
Career to date
After graduating university in 2007, Ollie spent his early career in client facing roles. Learning about how different businesses operated and grew fed Ollie’s inquisitive nature and got him thinking about how he could learn from clients to grow a business.
He took his first senior leadership position at Stackhouse Poland in 2013 at age 28 to head up their London Office. From there, Ollie quickly discovered his passion for strategy and leadership. In 2016, he was appointed Managing Director of Stackhouse Poland’s Commercial Division and was a key part of the management team that grew the business into one of the UK’s marquee independent brokers.
In 2019 Ollie joined Arthur J Gallagher as Managing Director of its Niche Practices business, where he led specialist teams in their UK retail business.
Life outside of work
Ollie has a young family that keeps him busy, including two dachshunds, who are often more challenging than the kids.
He is a competitive amateur triathlete and has participated in numerous championship events around the world, including representing Great Britain at Age Group level and Ironman 70.3 World Championships. Luckily, Ollie’s family loves to travel and they are more than willing to support anywhere that the sun is likely to shine! In Ollie’s spare time, he can usually be found cycling or running around Hertfordshire or Essex, often not far from a good café.
Ollie is a keen cook and one day would love to compete in MasterChef however, he is still practicing for now!
