We are all responsible for owning our ROAD ahead. The SRG Rolling Objectives and Development Initiative (ROAD) is our approach to feedback and development, which focuses on regular check in’s rather than traditional annual appraisals.
The High Potential Programme (HiPO) offers a structured 12-month learning experience, guided by our leaders. HiPO invests in aspiring talent who are at the earlier stages of their career and who have established themselves in their current role and team.
In 2022, SRG launched the ‘Nextco’, a group of employees who come together to identify and propose strategic initiatives to the SRG Board. The Nextco grew out of a recognition of two things: 1) That high potential future leaders in most businesses are not exposed to the boardroom and board meetings. Yet, a knowledge of the board’s processes and purpose would equip them for future leadership. 2) That younger employees have different insights on how the company can tackle problems and implement initiatives and can provide a valuable challenge to the Board’s own thinking in these areas. The Nextco meets regularly to progress project work, while also having exposure to SRG Board directors and the workings of the Board.
Our promotion process is led by our people and guided by the Career Level Framework. The framework is a set of guidelines that help assess the progression of our colleagues fairly, and in line with our culture.
Our Management Programme has been designed to equip aspiring managers to progress to a future management role at SRG and to offer existing managers an opportunity to develop skills and knowledge. The structured learning experience focuses on the talents of management and how that translates to people management at SRG.
