Claims Executive

About the Role

This role provides detailed, effective support across a wide variety of tasks within the Claims department, predominantly focusing on handling Commercial & Personal Lines claims. You will build strong working relationships with Insurers and Brokers and ensure a high level of service is maintained. This is a busy role that requires exceptional organisation skills and the ability to work autonomously.

Key Duties

  • Manage and administer clients’ claims by working closely with both clients and insurers, always providing a market leading level of service.
  • Actively progress and monitor new and ongoing claims, settling claims as quickly and efficiently as possible. Understanding the importance of providing timely and accurate feedback to clients keeping them up to date with the progress of their claims.
  • Attend client meetings where required.
  • Issue and administer claim forms and settlements on behalf of our clients.
  • Liaise with insurers, loss adjusters, loss assessors and third parties to progress clients’ claims
  • Send formal acknowledgment of receipt for all new claim reports
  • Ensure all claims related correspondence is recorded on the Acturis system
  • Always maintain an up to date diary for all tasks
  • Accurate input of claims data onto Acturis system

About You

  • You will have a confident and outgoing approach and will be excellent at building relationships in person, remotely and in writing.
  • You will thrive in a busy but friendly environment, enjoying working as part of a team.
  • You are educated to at least A level standard, with GCSEs Grade B or above in Maths and English, and ideally will hold Cert CII qualifications.
  • Previous Experience in handling Motor and Commercial property and liability claims is advantageous
  • Sound knowledge of claims handling process
  • Detailed understanding of client requirements
