Neil will join MX later this year, after existing contractual obligations have been fulfilled. Neil brings more than two decades of underwriting and portfolio management experience gained across the specialty insurance market. He has held senior leadership positions at Miller, AXIS and CNA Hardy, building a reputation for underwriting excellence, strong insurer relationships, and the development of high-performing teams.
The newly created Chief Underwriting Officer role reflects MX’s continued growth and SRG’s ongoing investment in its underwriting business. As MX continues to expand its specialist capabilities, the appointment adds further depth and expertise to the leadership team, supporting the business’s ambition to deliver sustainable growth and enhanced value for insurer partners, brokers, and clients.
As Chief Underwriting Officer, Neil will be responsible for underwriting strategy, portfolio performance, insurer engagement, and the continued development of MX’s specialist underwriting proposition. Working closely with the leadership team, he will help shape the future direction of the business while ensuring MX remains a trusted partner for brokers and capacity providers.
