Purpose of Role

The Specialist Risk Group is seeking to hire a Risk & Compliance analyst to join their growing business.

The role will assist with the day-to-day management of the governance, risk and compliance (GRC) framework, supporting our compliance business partners and our risk manager, in risk and compliance activities and reporting.

Your expertise in compliance policies, risk management, and regulatory frameworks enables you to be a trusted advisor to both employees and senior management. You thrive in a collaborative environment, are solution-driven, and possess a proactive attitude towards improving business practices.

Key Accountabilities

• You will be expected to complete monitoring and operational tasks as set out in the Compliance Monitoring Plan.
• You will be expected to undertake and support Compliance and Risk analysis
• You will be expected to undertake and support Internal Reporting – compilation of the Compliance & Risk reporting
• You will be expected to undertake and support the Third-party onboarding process.
• You will be expected to undertake and support Supporting with Insurer Security onboarding process.
• You will be expected to perform reviews of Gifts & Hospitality declarations

• You will be expected to perform reviews of Conflicts of Interest declarations
• You will be expected to support compliance projects.
• You will be expected to review and approve marketing materials and promotions, working closely with the Marketing team and meeting agreed deadlines.
• You will be expected to support the provision of practical advice to managers on regulatory issues
• You will be expected manage the Compliance and Sanctions mailboxes by responding to regulatory questions from the business or allocating them to the Risk and compliance SME
• You will be expected review and investigate Sanctions matches providing guidance to the business on a match and confirming if the transaction can proceed.
• You will be expected to stay informed about FCA requirements and how they affect the business.
• You will be expected to promote a culture focused on Conduct Risk and positive Customer Outcomes.
• You will be expected to understand how Conduct Risk, Treating Customers Fairly, Consumer Duty and Risk Management relate to the role and suggest improvements when needed.

Specification

Experience

• 1-4 years’ experience in a Risk, Compliance, Control or Audit function
• 1+ years’ experience of regulatory compliance
• The ability to explain regulatory requirements clearly and concisely in both written and verbal formats.
• Awareness of FCA regulatory requirements
• Experience of compliance monitoring
• Experience of Sanctions
• Experience of controls assessment
• Experience of internal auditing
• Experience in risk assessment
• Experience in developing and implementing policies
• Experience in risk and compliance reporting
