Jonny Huntington is only one day away from Theil’s Corner

Progress update from Jonny Huntington

11th Dec 2024 – Jonny is just under 20 days and just over 330km into his epic expedition and he is about to arrive at Theil’s Corner, a major landmark in the journey. Theil’s corner is over one third of the distance to the pole and is where Jonny, will stop tracking alongside the Theil mountain range and turn and start heading straight for the pole.

Jonny is on track with his plan to arrive at Thiel’s Corner and will start to gain pace/distance each day as his pulk (sled) lightens, as he heads for the pole.

Whilst Jonny is on his epic journey, he is posting daily progress updates on his website (www.jonnyhuntington.com) on the interactive map where he is leaving voice note updates that give a great insight into his expedition.

SRG is proud to be a key sponsor for Jonny as he attempts to become the first disabled person to trek solo and unsupported from the Antarctic coast to the South Pole. A true example of difficult done well!
