About the Role
As a Client Executive at Anthony James Insurance Brokers, you’ll be at the heart of delivering exceptional service and expert advice to our clients. You’ll manage insurance requirements across new quotations, renewals, and mid-term adjustments, ensuring every interaction reflects our commitment to quality and professionalism.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Work closely with Account Managers and Claims Managers to provide highest standard service to customers.
- Secure and arrange appropriate cover at renewal at a competitive premium, completing all relevant documentation/computer work and hand over to relevant Account Manager.
- Take instructions relating to the provision of insurance cover from clients and pass to Account Managers.
- Give instructions to insurers, where required.
- Ensure mid-term adjustments and declarations are processed and records updated.
- Ensure Account Managers are invoicing all premiums due and that you chase any outstanding debt.
- Check all documentation (i.e. policies and endorsements) for accuracy prior to sending to client.
- Obtain quotations for any relevant new policies/renewals.
- Be conversant with Company Procedures manual and the requirements of the FCA and to implement and maintain procedures as stipulated.
- Be aware of market conditions and the strengths and weaknesses of competitors.
- Visits to customers at renewal and mid-term where agreed.
- Monitor trends, analyse results, and prepare feedback to senior staff.
- Provide a detailed handover of all outstanding work to your line manager before taking annual leave.
- Deal with any other client issues that may arise, referring to the appropriate person when the enquiry falls outside your own knowledge and experience.
- Carry out all duties and processes in accordance with the Rules of the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) any other applicable Codes of Practice.
- Obey Company Rules and Regulations, based on the Anthony James Insurance Brokers Limited, Contracts of Employment and any other communications from the Company Management.
- Be aware of Health and Safety requirements and to avoid any actions or omissions, which could create an unhealthy or unsafe environment for self, colleagues, customers or visitors.
- Strictly adhere to all Group protocols in respect of use of technology and to avoid misuse of the systems.
- Maintain strict confidentiality in respect of all information arising from and in connection with the group and the Company.
- Concentrate on self-improvement technically and maintain a Continuous Professional Development (CDP) log as provided.
- Be aware of others’ needs and strive to help colleagues improve their technical knowledge and quality of output.
- Undertake any other duties in keeping with the nature of the position.
- Be conversant with and adhere to the Company’s Complaints Procedures.
What You’ll Bring
Knowledge
- Thorough knowledge of all classes of business offered by Anthony James Insurance Brokers with reference to appropriate experts when the cover falls outside your own experience.
- Thorough knowledge of the insurance markets available.
- Thorough knowledge of general insurance and underlying legal principals.
- Extensive knowledge of all company specific procedures.
- Knowledge of the regulatory requirements of general insurance in operation at any time.
- A thorough understanding of FCA regulations and guidelines relating to commercial customers.
- Willingness to continue to develop knowledge of products and related issues through formal and informal learning, both internally and externally to Anthony James Insurance Brokers.
