The Role

SRG is a fast growing, people and culture focused, specialist insurance intermediary, made up of Broking and Underwriting functions. Launched in 2019, SRG now has over 600 colleagues across multiple offices in the UK and Ireland, placing business of over £1billion in premium.

This is a great opportunity for students who have completed their A-Levels or higher education and looking for their first role in the Insurance profession, or a professional looking for a change in career.

As part of the role you will study towards the Level 3 Certificate in Insurance apprenticeship to gain a professional qualification which, along with learning on the job, will prepare you for a successful career working in the Insurance profession.
We are looking for someone to join our team in Nottingham in the summer of 2024, no later than September.

Key Responsibilities

  • To aid in the overall service provision to clients ensuring that the business is retained and developed.
  • Liaising with and working with Client Manager and Advisors to resolve queries and keep them informed of any problem cases.
  • Liaising with clients to effectively deal with queries relating to their Open Cover cases.
  • Preparing and issuing new business, mid-term adjustment, renewal and cancellation documentation.
  • Ensuring all risk information is input accurately onto the internal Acturis system in a timely manner.
  • Ensuring all documentation is kept up to date in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Managing monthly spreadsheet reports placing cover for declaration policies.
  • Preparing various reports surrounding team income.
  • Work with Client Manager to ensure apprenticeship targets are met
  • Maintain and develop relationships through the delivery of excellent service, technical knowledge, and expertise.
  • Ensure compliance with regulations and procedures as laid down by the Central Bank of Ireland by keeping up to date with all changes in the regulatory framework.
  • Self-management of workload tasks, to provide a high level of client service.

About You

  • You will have at least a grade 4/C (or equivalent) in Maths and English at GSCE level.
  • Have the right to work in the UK and lived in the UK/EEA continuously for the past three years.
  • You will be a confident written and verbal communicator, willing to work hard and excited to build a career in the Insurance sector.
  • You will understand the importance of excellent customer service and understand how to deliver this. Experience in a customer focused environment would be beneficial.
