MX Underwriting Limited is an established Managing General Agent operating predominantly in the Real Estate, Renewables and Transactional markets. In the UK, MX is a market leader and innovator, being the first capacity provider to offer a solution to Rights of Light risks along with several other unique products that have been replicated in the market.

The Role

The candidate will work closely with the Underwriting and Claims’ teams to provide technical and administrative support, while gaining knowledge and confidence dealing with external clients.

The Business Operations Team

The candidate will be a part of the Business Operations Team, part of the MX UK and EU team of 22 based in London and Ireland. We are a dynamic team always looking to develop and improve the way we work and enjoy spending time together during regular socials and team building events. The Business Operations Team supports the underwriting and claims function to ensure the smooth running of the business.

Roles and Responsibilities of the Business Operations Team

The Business Operations Assistant will have a set of well-defined tasks and ad hoc requests to support underwriting, claims, budgets, business pipeline, client communication, e.g.,:

  • client onboarding and relationship management;
  • pre-underwriting due diligence;
  • managing new claims files;
  • data analysis, working with the SRG Data Analytics team;
  • process audits on the underwriting files;
  • preparing management information reports;
  • updating and reporting on the pipeline against budget forecast;
  • partner with Underwriters to gather intelligence from key accounts and manage the customer relationship management system;
  • maintaining the Document Library

About the Candidate

  • Can demonstrate they are proactive, diligent and able to work individually and as part of the team.
  • Excellent communication skills with a willingness to learn.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Keen to approach research and data analysis projects.
  • Keen to improve processes and procedures for maximum efficiency.
  • University Leaver with a Bachelor degree in finance or data analytics.
