About the Role
TUE, a growing MGA in Dublin which specialises in Equine Insurance are seeking a full time Assistant Underwriter to join their Underwriting team in the Equine department.
Key Responsibilities
The key responsibilities for this role are:
- Look after a book of renewals and new business enquiries being responsible for the process from start to finish.
- Respond promptly to intermediary queries and ensure that all communications with customers and/or insurers, or other relevant business contacts are accurately recorded in writing.
- Inform intermediaries of the policy cover, terms and conditions and claims protocol and reasonably ensure that the client understands the effect of breach of conditions or requirements.
- Deal with mid-term policy queries and issue endorsements where appropriate.
- Give instructions and relay any issues to insurance providers/broking team.
- Maintain and develop relationships through the delivery of excellent service, technical knowledge, and expertise.
- Ensure accuracy and quality of system data to ensure data and information integrity.
- Ensure compliance with regulations and procedures as laid down by the Central Bank of Ireland by keeping up to date with all changes in the regulatory framework.
- Preparation of MRC Slips and Endorsements for Lineslip and Open Market business
- Liaising with team members, Underwriters, Producers as and when required
- Loading MRC slips to PPL for sign off by Underwriters.
- Producing formal policy documentation.
About you
- You will ideally have experience with managing your own portfolio of risks.
- You will be a confident written and verbal communicator with the ability to build relationships with colleagues and clients alike, with the ability and desire to work in a fast paced, dynamic team.
- You will have experience working with Microsoft Excel and database systems and understand the importance of keeping documentation and systems up to date.
- You will have experience working in the insurance industry and be passionate about delivering exceptional service to clients.
- While it is not essential, experience working with PPL and any experience in the London Market would be useful
- You will be a confident written and verbal communicator with the ability to build relationships with colleagues and clients alike and the desire to work in a fast paced, dynamic team.
