The Role

Your role working as a Motor Fleet Renewal broker is to join an established, professional Motor Fleet team managing Wholesale London Market business. This is an exciting, fast paced role and is a great opportunity for an experienced person to further broaden their knowledge. Your role is to manage a renewal allocation from start to finish, retaining existing business. You will be dealing with agents, insurers and brokers daily maintaining and developing relationships increasing the company’s reputation withing the London Market.

Working hours are 9:00am to 5:00pm Monday to Friday. 2 days working from home, being Monday and Friday and 3 days in the office, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday (subject to change)

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintaining the system for raising renewals, ensuring they are actioned 4-5 weeks prior to the renewal date.
  • Producing renewal documentation accurately and to be contract certain.
  • To record all renewal progress on the renewal spreadsheet
  • Responding to enquiries from brokers and underwriter by phone and email.
  • Obtaining quotations from the London Market when requested.
  • To liaise with other departments within the company where package deals are in place.
  • Communicating quotations/ terms, advising the most appropriate price and cover to meet the applicant’s needs.
  • Discussing any additional covers to ensure that all the insurance requirements are satisfied.
  • Raising invoices and policy documents.
  • Providing a focused and friendly service to all customers.
  • Producing diaries on the computer system, chasing outstanding information from insurers and brokers.
  • Maintaining an acceptable level of product knowledge by keeping up to date with product developments.
  • Recording CPD throughout the year, ensuring targets are met.
  • Compliance with regulations and procedures as laid down by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) by keeping up to date with all changes in the regulatory framework.

About You

  • Experienced, enthusiastic, and highly motivated team player.
  • Experience within the London Market, managing your own risks.
  • A commitment to providing good customer service.
  • You will have experience working with Microsoft Office applications and database systems and understand the importance of keeping documentation and systems up to date.
  • You will be a confident written and verbal communicator with the ability to build relationships, and negotiate renewal terms, both with insurers and agents.
  • The ability to quickly and accurately enter information, produce documentation, and supply information.
  • Self-motivated.
  • Strong IT skills.
