Account Advisor – Stonehatch

Location: The role is based in our City of London office with 2 days (Monday and Friday) working remotely from home

About the Role

An exciting opportunity for the right candidate to build a long-term career in the bloodstock and livestock sector of the London insurance market. The role will include exposure to a global portfolio of clients and prospects, with responsibility for client retention through the provision of excellent service levels.
The role would suit someone who is highly organised, motivated and possesses excellent communication and IT skills. A strong interest in, and knowledge of, the bloodstock / equestrian / livestock world is essential.
Client account management and administration with the goal being to retain, develop and grow a profitable bloodstock and livestock portfolio through excellent client service (by building trust, credibility and longstanding relationships with clients). The role will include the provision of quotations, the placement of cover and day to day servicing of all aspects of a client’s insurance programme in a timely and accurate manner, along with constantly striving to grow the book of business either organically through the existing client base or through the on-boarding of new clients.

• Educated to degree level or has obtained relevant insurance industry experience.
• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
• Excellent communication (written, oral & presentation) skills & interpersonal skills essential, and an ability to deal with high-net-worth clients in a professional manner.
• Ability to multi-task, prioritise, work to tight deadlines and perform under pressure.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proven track record of delivering high levels of service.
• Ability to represent Stonehatch & Specialist Risk Group with integrity and credibility.
• Experience working with, and adhering to, processes and systems to support positive outcomes for our clients in a compliant manner.

Key Duties

• General advice and support to be given to clients in a timely manner by email, telephone and face to face / virtual meetings.
• Involvement in all aspects of the placing and claims processes ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements set out by internal policies / procedures and the FCA.
• Creation of quotations, contracts of insurance and mid-term endorsements.
• Broking of quotations / contracts of insurance to the relevant underwriting markets either in person or electronically.
• Creation and sending of quotations and confirmations of cover to clients.
• Ensuring prompt notification and successful negotiation of injury / claims advices, along with updating all the relevant systems during this process.
• Ensuring the prompt payment of claims once agreed by the underwriting markets.
• Taking responsibility for the renewal process on allocated accounts.
• Running and servicing of key binding authorities including the successful negotiation of client requests outside of their binding authority parameters.
• Managing the production and submission of monthly bordereaux for presentation to underwriting markets.
• Managing the creation of statements of account for clients to ensure funds are received in a timely manner.
