Assistant Underwriter

Location: Flexibility between Home and Witham Office

Team: MX Commercial

About the Role

Responsible for administering new business, renewals and MTA’s. The objective of this role is to offer consistent quality service to brokers and maintaining high standards of document production and underwriting support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Logging of Commercial Combined, Property Owners and Unoccupied Property quotes.
  • Processing the new business, renewal and MTA’s of Commercial Combined, Property Owners and Unoccupied Property business.
  • Maintaining good business relationship with new and existing brokers.
  • Completing survey requests
  • Manage the Property Team diary including chasing up outstanding documents from brokers and issuing renewal reminders to brokers.
  • Work with IT team for system enhancement and the test of new & existing products.

Requirements

  • 2 years experience in an administration role
  • Strong data entry skills
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
  • Experience in insurance sector preferred
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good time management skills to meet deadlines
  • MGA experience preferred but not an essential
  • Good MS Office skills such as Excel and Word
