The Role

This is a permanent, full-time role working in the Insolvency UK Open Cover Team with three other Client Advisors, reporting to a Client Manager/Team Leader. You will be responsible for placing and administering insurance policies for insolvency practitioners and probate solicitors in respect of companies and individuals they are appointed over and for managing those policies for the duration of their life-cycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provision of Account Handling services for an allocated portfolio of cases. To aid in the overall service provision to clients ensuring that the business is retained and developed.
  • Liaising with Client Manager to resolve queries and keep them informed of any problem cases. Work with Client Manager to ensure targets are met and own workload remains manageable and any areas of concern are discussed.
  • Liaising with clients to effectively deal with queries relating to their Open Cover and probate cases.
  • Liaising with insurance underwriters in respect of cases falling outside SRIS’s delegated authority.
  • Identifying risk exposures with your portfolio of clients relating to new business, renewals and mid-term adjustments.
  • Preparing and issuing new business, mid-term adjustment, renewal and cancellation documentation.
  • Ensuring all risk information is input accurately onto the internal Acturis system in a timely manner.
  • Ensuring motor vehicle details are entered promptly onto the Motor Insurance Database
  • Self-management of workload tasks, to provide a high level of client service.
  • Liaising with the credit control team in respect of outstanding premiums

About You

  • You will have some experience of working in the Insurance broking industry in the commercial property or household spheres, but extensive experience is not essential.
  • You will have experience working in a service-related role, particularly focused on providing outstanding service to corporate and business clients.
  • You will be a confident written and verbal communicator with the ability to build professional relationships with a portfolio of clients across the UK.
  • You will have experience working with Microsoft Excel and database systems and understand the importance of keeping documentation and systems up to date.
  • You will have experience working with invoices and credit control.
  • You will have good organisational skills and have the ability to successfully prioritise workloads.
  • Knowledge of the Acturis system would be beneficial, but is not essential.
